This is a special place distinguished for its quaint B&B's, galleries, boutiques and fine waterfront and uptown dining with spectacular sunsets making it a destination for all to enjoy.
The sun smiles on Semiahmoo Peninsula more hours than most other Southern Coastal Communities. This makes our area the perfect place to enjoy swimming, kayaking, sailing, mountain biking, hiking and enchanting evening strolls. There are 15 golf courses in the area and four driving ranges. Close at hand are many lush nature trails and parks. Serpentine Fen, a bird sanctuary as well as Crescent Beach are two great areas to see over 200 species of birds on their migration.
Stretching 1,559 feet into the ocean is the White Rock pier, first constructed in 1915 and officially re-opened in 1977. Take a pleasant stroll along the wooden pier, watch the crab fisherman of all ages try their luck, and view the starfish enjoying the sunshine. At White Rock, you can visit the great white boulder for which the city is named. Legends claim the son of a sea god tossed this 486.63-ton magical rock across the seas to prove his strength and it was later used as a navigational beacon.
Yours to Enjoy... SAND, SUN, and SEA.
Surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains and silvery bodies of water, the wild still practically surrounds this modern city whose greater area is home to 2 million people. Vancouver is the gateway to Canada's Province of British Columbia (BC), the Canadian Rockies, Alaska and the Pacific Rim.
A very young city since Captain George Vancouver first sailed through the first Narrows of Vancouver's splendid Harbor on June 13, 1792, this city has slowly grown from a coastal wilderness dotted with Native Indian villages into one of the world's most beautiful cosmopolitan cities. The city offers breathtaking scenes you must experience to believe. You will always remember Vancouver for its seemingly magical surroundings and its Asian accented West coast charms. A photogenic city whose merits have attracted `Hollywood' producers and location hunters, it is a true mixture of natural beauty and many cultures as one at peace with the world.
